Hero paragon 0017

Paragon was made up of one hundred master guardian spirits. These guardian spirits had perished in battle, and rose to merge and create this extraordinary being. He can call out these spirits to haunt, damage, and stun his enemies.

When he is under heavy attack he can unleash spectral energy to heal both himself and his allies. He is able to heal faster than most heroes, and can also dodge attacks.

Paragon's attacks are melee based, meaning he must be close to an enemy or structure to attack it. He can target both aerial and ground enemies. Paragon's regular attacks deal area damage in a shockwave.

Strategy[]

Unlike the other free Heroes, Paragon has a really small range since he fights melee. He deals a decent amount of damage with his sword, and his sword has an area attack that can hit other enemies/structures in a shockwave. This makes him fantastic at dealing with hordes of enemies. However, the area damage he emits is lower than his actual sword attack. Additionally, there is an interaction where moving Paragon a very short distance after he attacks resets his attack cooldown timer, therefore making him attack faster. This is a massive DPS increase, but requires careful micromanagement from the player.

His first ability, "Spirit Wrath", summons spirits that debuff enemies. Enemies affected by this are shown to have spirits criss-crossing around them. This ability deals damage, and can stun enemies briefly when the first upgrade is unlocked. Surprisingly, this ability also affects structures. One good way to use this ability is by picking up paragon, deploying him in the center of where many enemies are, and activating it. This will allow you to maximize the benefits of the ability.

His second ability, "Energy Flux" absorbs and converts the damage he is dealt into health for a short duration. Energy Flux also heals nearby allies, shown by a green circle underneath them. He can make an entire army near invincible when this is active, which is very good for ending missions by refinery sniping, tanking boss hits, or saving units on the brink of death.

Paragon is relatively fragile, and is mainly a support unit. He is best accompanied by other units, as he can simultaneously keep them alive, and make enemies/structures weaker for stronger units to deal with them. Paragon's playstyle relies on the patience of a commander, and effective mobilization. He is not well-suited for aggressive players.
